Unknown actress Elsa Brinkman (Kim Novak) is hired to star in a film about Lylah Clare (also played by Novak), a '30s Hollywood legend who tragically died on her wedding night. But Elsa learns that an uncanny physical resemblance isn't the only thing the two women share, as she begins adopting some of the late starlet's characteristics and becomes the object of obsession of Lylah's husband (Peter Finch), who is also the biopic's director. Ernest Borgnine co-stars; directed by Robert Aldrich. 130 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
