The Purge (2013)

In the near future, the corporations that govern the United States have devised a way for citizens to release negative energy. The Purge: Election Year (2016)

The third (and, reportedly, final) chapter in the successful film series finds former LAPD sergeant Leo Barnes (Frank Grillo) working as chief of security for Senator Charlie Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell), a presidential hopeful running on a promise to end the Purge. But as the 12-hour period of legalized mayhem begins, Barnes and Roan must try and stay alive on the streets of Washington, D.C. while pro-Purge forces try to eliminate the would-be POTUS. The First Purge (2016)

Ever wonder how allowing 12 hours of punishment-free crime and violence once every year seemed like a good idea in the first place? This prequel entry in the hit action/horror film series depicts the initial Purge as a sociological experiment intended to be limited to the Staten Island area. Opposing it are an idealistic activist (Lex Scott Davis) and her ex-boyfriend (Y’lan Noel), a drug dealer who sees it as a potential threat to his business.
