Isaac (Ricardo Trêpa), a photographer living in rural northern Portugal, is hired by a well-to-do family to take funerary pictures of their daughter Angelica (Pilar López de Ayala), who died on her wedding day. When Angelica appears to open her eyes and look at him during the shoot, a shocked Isaac becomes obsessed with his subject, believing that she lives on through his photos. Centenarian filmmaker Manoel de Oliveira's haunting fantasy also stars Leonor Silveira, Ana Maria Magalh°es. 95 min.
