Mary Clancy (Hayley Mills) and Rachel Devry (June Harding) are two restless, mischief-making teens at the St. Francis Academy for Girls, a convent school in Pennsylvania. During their years as students, the girls’ favorite pastime is running Mother Superior (Rosalind Russell) ragged with a never-ending stream of violations, practical jokes, and other crazy exploits. Filmed in Ambler, Pa., this charming comedy co-stars Binnie Barnes, Mary Wickes, and Gypsy Rose Lee; directed by Ida Lupino. 111 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English: theatrical trailer.
