The Wanderers, a gang of Italian-American teens, fight their rivals--and sometimes each other--on the mean streets of the Bronx in the early 1960s. But the toughest battle they ever face may simply be the struggles that come with growing up. Comedy, drama, bone-crunching violence, and great songs from the era come together in director/co-writer Philip Kaufman’s coming-of-age tale, based on the novel by Richard Price. Ken Wahl, Karen Allen, John Friedrich, Linda Manz star. Theatrical version; 112 min./Preview cut; 124 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English; Subtitles: English; audio commentary; featurette; interviews; theatrical trailers; TV spots; more. Two-disc set.
