The Wild Goose Lake
(2019)
After a mob meet gone south ended with his accidental killing of a policeman, low-end hood Zhou Zenong (Hu Ge) found himself the target of both cops and criminals, with a sizable bounty on his head. Trying to ensure his wife gets the reward if he’s caught, he might find his reliance on a gorgeous hooker (Gwei Lun Mei) in playing all ends against the middle misplaced. Stylish neo-noir from director Diao Yinan ("Black Coal, Thin Ice") co-stars Wan Qian, Qi Dao. 113 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: Mandarin; Subtitles: English. In Mandarin with English subtitles.
