Jean Renoir's last Hollywood film was this noirish drama starring Joan Bennett as a woman trapped in a marriage to a famous painter (Charles Bickford) whom she blinded during a violent argument. A bizarre love triangle begins to develop when she's drawn to a shell-shocked Coast Guardsman (Robert Ryan) whose paranoia leads him to believe Bickford is faking his blindness. Nan Leslie, Walter Sande also star. 71 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
