A Czech concentration camp escapee winds up in a German prison camp where he must pose as a dead British officer, going so far as to write to the soldier's wife in order to maintain his facade, in "The Captive Heart" (1946). Michael Redgrave, Basil Radford, Rachel Kempson star. Next, Ralph Richardson stars as an oil magnate and aircraft designer whose obsession with building a plane that will break "The Sound Barrier" (1952) leads to the deaths of his son and son-in-law, both pilots, and creates a rift between him and his daughter. Ann Todd, Nigel Patrick, Denholm Elliott co-star; directed by David Lean. "Angels One Five" (1952) is set during the Battle of Britain, focusing on the handful of RAF planes that successfully curtailed a Luftwaffe invasion in the face of overwhelming odds. Jack Hawkins, Michael Denison, Dulcie Gray star. Presented in collectible metal packaging, this three-disc set also includes "King & Country." 6 1/3 hrs. total. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
