Ninety-three-year-old L.A. widow Thelma Post (June Squibb) didn't have much going on beyond her visits--albeit with his hand out--from grandson Daniel (Fred Hechinger). When a phone scammer claiming to be Daniel bilks her into mailing $10,000, she settles on a more direct course than the cops or a consumer hotline...by tracking the fraud to its source, and demanding her cash. Winning farce co-stars Parker Posey, Clark Gregg, Malcolm McDowell, and, in his screen farewell, Richard Roundtree. 98 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English.
