The wedding of lovely shogun's daughter Kiyo (Miki Sugimoto) to country lord Tadateru (Hiroshi Nawa) might not bring the hoped-for political advantages, as the sexually naive Tadateru couldn't satisfy his frustrated bride. The good news was that he got effective instruction from on-loan French concubine Sandra (Sandra Julien). The bad news was that he found that sex was too good for the common folk--and banned it, in Norifumi Suzuki's outrageous, ribald period drama. 88 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: Japanese Dolby Digital stereo; Subtitles: English; audio commentary; featurette; theatrical trailer. In Japanese with English subtitles.
