Orson Welles' twisting cinematic gem of style and suspense is set in a seedy Mexican border town, where the investigation into the murder of an American businessman puts a newly married Mexican narcotics cop (Charlton Heston) at odds with his corrupt U.S. counterpart (Welles). Janet Leigh, Akim Tamiroff, Joseph Calleia, and Marlene Dietrich also star. This restored 1998 re-release version of the film features the editing and musical alterations Welles suggested in a 58-page memo to the studio. 111 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono; Subtitles: English (SDH), French, Spanish; Welles' memo; biographies; theatrical trailer.
