Director Jean-Jacques Annaud's ("The Bear") heartfelt and exciting tale, set in Indochina in the early 20th century, focuses on a pair of sibling tiger cubs that are suddenly separated when their father is killed by a renowned hunter (Guy Pearce). As one cat is captured by a circus, the other becomes the property of a local government official. But when they both manage to escape back into the wild, Pearce is commissioned to put them down.
