When an evil sorcerer (Yuen Shun-Yee) wants a sacred scroll, the call goes out to the only heroes that can defend it--a buck-toothed lush (Yuen Cheung-Yan, who directed), a virginal kid (Yuen Yat-Chor), and a crotch-biting, watermelon-shaped automaton! The Yuens' bizarre action farce "Taoism Drunkard" (1984) co-stars Hsiao Hou-Tao, Liu Hao-Yi. Then, when lazy martial arts student Cheng (Yuen Yat-Chor) seeks a shortcut to success, he learns how to project a fighting astral form--and he'll need it to stop the malicious head (Yen Shi-Kwan) of a rival school. "The Young Taoism Fighter" (1986) also stars Liu Hao-Yi, Kwan Chung. 193 min. total. Widescreen; Soundtracks: Cantonese, English; Subtitles: English; audio commentary; featurettes; theatrical trailers. In Cantonese with English subtitles.
