When rubber plantation manager Langford (Richard Carlson) arrived in the Congo in 1910, his boss Witzel (Walter Pidgeon) had one cardinal rule: Stay away from the gorgeous, mixed-race seductress Tondelayo (Hedy Lamarr). Suffice to say that Langford broke that rule...and stood to pay the ultimate price when the amoral beauty wearied of her latest conquest. Gloriously over-the-top potboiler also stars Frank Morgan, Reginald Owen, Henry O'Neill. 88 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
