First, the open marriage between bookseller Rob (Bryan Brown) and scholar Gretel (Cathy Downes) seems like a successful, free-spirited arrangement...until the suicide of a friend sends Rob in search of answers, and then, into the company of a troubled prostitute (Judy Davis). Provocative Australian drama "Winter of Our Dreams" co-stars Peter Mochrie and (18-year-old future filmmaker) Baz Luhrmann. Next, a journalist investigating political turmoil in the "Far East" finds his marriage threatened by the reappearance of his wife's ex-lover. However, when the reporter is jailed by the government, that same man could be the key to his release. Australian drama stars Brown, Helen Morse. 191 min. total. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: English.
